Lockdown has been, & remains tough for a lot of people. However, there is a lot to be said for the stillness it has brought, together with the time we have been gifted, & these have enabled us to focus on things we haven’t previously had time for. As I have said before, for many of us it’s been a time to reorganise our homes, to have a good clear out, to reorganise & to reflect on what makes us happy & fulfilled.
For me, although I enjoy (& need) my own company, social connectivity is a huge part of what makes me happy. Unfortunately that isn’t possible at the moment other than through Zoom (other online meeting apps are available), WhatsApp & other online methods of linking up.
On that note, thank the Lord for the internet I say! Just consider what life might be like if we didn’t have access to this wonder of modern science or to our mobiles. Instead, we might be going out to stand by a smelly phone box in the rain at 7pm waiting for a friend to call & praying for it to be empty when we arrive (yes young people, that was our reality)!
Given that my social diary has rather a lot of ‘windows’ in it at the moment, I have been spending a lot of time focusing on creative endeavours; looking after the website, getting my head around SEO (!) & more recently, creating some greetings cards featuring my original photographic images. The proofs are in & I should have them on the site very soon. Can’t wait. I am quite proud of them & hope you will like them too.
